How to Use the Google Finance Search Tools

Stocks and the stock market is a rapidly changing world and keep up. To stay ahead of the game, you must be organized, know what happens, and have easy access to the latest financial news. The Internet is quickly becoming the number on ways to obtain and share information immediately. This is crucial for maintaining corporate finance. In addition, websites such as Google.com to have tools and resources to stay current and informed on the financial market. Google Finance is a division of Google.com, which focuses solely on financial information and news that is so vital for you.

To access Google Finance, click on “more” on top of the page on the Google homepage and click on Finance. On the home page of Google Finance is five tools to help you stay current and organized. Here is a brief description of how to use each of these tools:

* Markets *
This is a great way to get a quick overview of the current situation of world markets. The top section, “Market Summary” shows that articles from leading market analysts and stock is updated frequently. You will see a link to the original article, a summary, which provided the information, when it was posted (in minutes), and include an image of any grafts or images have been included in the article. This is an excellent way to see what the latest news, and decide from there if you want to read the full article.

The following section “Market” tool are the main stories on the new market. Under that is the “Area” indicates the increase or decrease the percentage of shares in certain sectors such as basic materials, conglomerates and energy. The final section on “markets” is a basic analysis of market trends, particularly in categories:
* Popular showing trends for the most popular, most research on companies and businesses.
* Price-showing the top 5 stocks that are currently being built and lose percentages.
* Mkt Cap showing the top 5 winners and losers with the highest market capitalization.
* Vol-showing the Top 10 stocks with the greatest volume.

* New *
Basically, this is a list of all news stories on the market. News is listed in the order they were posted with links to the original article, a summary, and the company has provided. To the right is a sub-section “Top Stories” to see the most popular news.

* Portfolios
You need a Google Account to use this section. This is where you can organize your equity investments in progress. You can add ticker symbols for stocks and mutual funds you buy or look, add transaction data, etc. You will be able to track your progress and see the recent activity of your stocks.

When you add a song to your portfolio, or to watch or buy shares, you will see a basic overview of stocks, and have the opportunity to see the overview, fundamentals, performance and transactions (shown is tab separated) for each stock.

* * Stock Screener
This tool will help you obtain information on current stock. You can search for stocks based on market capitalization, P / E, dividend yield, and 52W price change, or a combination of some or all of these criteria. You’ll see a list of matching stocks in alphabetical order below. Each fellow is a link to a page listing the details of this stock, like shares and recent activities, etc. From there you can click to see the stock, which automatically adds to your portfolio. Under the basic summary is a list of related companies that you might be interested, including their current status.

Google Trends * National *
This tool will show you the evolution of research on Google for U.S. users, compared to actual sales in this area. Since most people use search engines for information, and Google is the number one (by far) search engine used, this could be a valuable resource. You can compare the rise and fall of Google search to see actual purchases of new perspectives of the popularity of certain markets. There are several categories of market sectors to choose from, such as computers and electronics, durables, and real estate.
